Rainmaker Growth Partners: A story of confluence and evolution

Back in 1999, I was hired by my friend, colleague and yes, mentor, John Ortbal, to bring to market what would be the first provider of (Security Information Management) SIM technology, e-Security, Inc. John served as VP of Marketing at the time, and the Naples, Fla.-based upstart would be my first client an independent PR pro in the cybersecurity industry.

My practice, e-Rainmaker Public Relations, has since evolved and contributed to the success of some incredibly innovative, high-growth information security software and service providers since e-Security. These companies include: Intelitactics (Trustwave), LURHQ (Dell/SecureWorks), Lucid Security (TrustWave), ENDFORCE (Sophos), KoolSpan, SafeBoot (McAfee), Mandiant (FireEye), Bayshore Networks, eSentire, InteliSecure, Cisco Systems, PhishLabs, SecureMyEmail, and RiskLens.

John and I have worked collaboratively and in parallel, driven by the spirit of independence to deliver our very best capabilities to our deserving cadre of clients. Today, I’m proud to announce the next chapter of my career, as I officially join forces with John to form Rainmaker Growth Partners.
